According to the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), there were 110,000 active pilots in 2019. With that many pilots in the air, one would think that there would be significantly more sightings than what one typically hears about. I was driving on the Afsluitdijk in the middle of the night, coming off a job in Amsterdam, going back to my hometown. When I was almost at the end of the Afsluitdijk my radio started to stutter. Shouldnt The Number of UFO Sightings Be Significantly Higher?

According to the FAA, “Every day, FAA's Air Traffic Organization (ATO) provides service to more than 45,000 flights and 2.9 million airline passengers across more than 29 million square miles of airspace.” In addition, that's 16,405,000 flights handled each year, and 45,000 flights per day. During peak operation times, there's 5,400 aircraft in the sky at peak operation times. Now, that's a LOT of flights, and a LOT of passengers on each flight. I know i'll get immediate pushback on this, if it's not already a well known or dismissed theory. Apologies if this is an old topic.
