I analyzed 80000 UFO sightings from the NUFORC database

I analyzed the comments (free text fields) that captured the witness accounts in the NUFORC database of over 80,000 sightings. The structured data was more or less insignificant and I found no real signal there. The free text field however, provide some interesting results. I first looked at what the distribution of colors mentioned in the comments. The colors mentioned most frequently in the comments are, in order:. Orange: 8,917 mentions. White: 8,131 mentions. Has anybody investigated the alleged UFO hoax in Al-Jafr Jordan?

In 2010, a Jordanian newspaper apologised for having claimed on 1st April (which is not a well-known date for pranks in Jordan, as it is in some countries) that three saucer-shaped craft had flown overhead, lit up, landed nearby, and terrified many residents of a small town called Al-Jafr. For those that missed it, a prominent UFO journalist/researcher suggested that there is a craft too large to be moved located in a non-US country. Somebody suggested South Korea. Assuming this is true, there are some interesting implications, but I'm not sure I believe this. ​Late 1940s: Craft start coming into US custody. 1950: Sec State famously gives a list of places in the Pacific the US will defend that omits South Korea. I really wanted to believe this story when I first heard about it and I kinda did at first, but it's now very apparent it's a hoax. There's no shame in being excited about something, but at some point you gotta get realistic. Please, no more vids circling shadows or video artifacts. I think there's a lot of posts spread out in various places that not everyone has seen, so I just wanted to summarize the biggest issues with this “incident”. Since it is becoming very credible and apparent that the United States possesses UFOS and other worldly technology, then it stands to reason, over the last 70 to 80 years the U.S. has explored the universe with this technology. There is no end to what they have discovered traversing space. I believe it gives credence to what the scientist Haim Eshed from Israel said that claimed the U.S. is part of a “Galactic Federation”.
